Exemplifying a unique combination of administrative panache and academic acumen, Dr Leff completed her PhD in Literary Studies in English in 2018, while still holding a full-time front office position at the ISEA. In May 2023 Dr Leff was appointed ISEA Publications Manager, but she still moonlights as the secretary for the Shakespeare Society of Southern Africa. Besides also being the coordinator of the Aerial short course in Creative Writing at the ISEA, Dr Leff is one of the lecturing staff of the MA Creative Writing programme in the School of Languages and Literatures at Rhodes University.
Leff's monograph titled The Afropolitan Fl?neur in Literature was released in July 2022 by Cambridge Scholars Publishing. A paperback edition was launched at Amazwi Museum of South African Literature in May 2023.
